Privacy Policy
The short version
Formatista does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data. Conversions happen entirely on your iPhone. We have no servers that ever see your videos.
What we don't do
- We don't track you. No analytics SDK, no fingerprinting, no advertising IDs.
- We don't have user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- We don't upload your videos anywhere. Conversion is fully on-device.
- We don't sell or share data with third parties — because we don't have any to share.
The one network call we make
If you paste a video URL into Formatista, the app downloads from that URL. That request goes directly from your iPhone to whichever server hosts the file you asked for. Formatista never proxies, intercepts, or copies that download.
Photo Library access
Formatista asks for "Add only" Photo Library permission so it can save the converted MP4 to your library. It does not request read access; it cannot see anything else in your library.
Crash reports
If iOS asks whether to share crash reports with developers and you agree, Apple may send Formatista anonymized crash logs through App Store Connect. These contain no video data and no personal information beyond what Apple chooses to forward.
Children
Formatista is rated 4+. We don't collect data, so we don't collect data about children either.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll bump the date at the top and explain what changed in the App Store release notes.
